Maxine-Élise Lidman

Maxine is a Swedish and Belgian filmmaker born and raised in Hong Kong. While immersing herself in theatre and film, she gained a passion for directing and made her first short film in Hang Zhou in 2018. Fast-forward to university, alongside her Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Philosophy at St Andrews, she independently produced, directed and edited her second inspiring short 'Choosing Life'. ​

In addition, she worked as a freelance videographer and editor for multiple music event groups in St Andrews, with Haus as her main client. Haus is known for showcasing the biggest DJs in St Andrews such as Lavern and Stephani B, who have played at major festivals including Tomorrowland. Her reels were consistently used to promote their events.

Finally, her other projects have included filming and editing TEDx University of St Andrews conferences, producing promotional videos for NGOs in Peru and Scotland, and most recently creating sport/athlete content.

Since graduating, she has moved to London to pursue her film directing goals.
