MAXINE LIDMAN

Hello! I’m Max, a Swedish and Belgian writer / director from Hong Kong who's currently in Brussels. My directed projects focus on philosophical and socially driven narratives, which I hope leave a powerful mark long after the credits roll. My most recent work includes the short film “Finding You” which is set in Nepal and produced by TOTW films. The psychological thriller follows Abiral, a young man who wakes from a nightmare involving his girlfriend Maya, to find that she never existed at all. He then sets out on a desperate search through Kathmandu to uncover the truth. Prior to this I worked as a DA and AD on Coca Cola commercials in both Nepal and Sri Lanka, and on the short film “The Final Whistle”, which highlights migrant worker deaths behind the Qatar World Cup stadium. Currently, I’m in the post production stage for “Finding You”, and in the scripting stage for multiple projects, where I plan to integrate my philosophical knowledge from KU Leuven.
